Compared to pigment dyes or oil finishes, dye dyes are dyed using a dyeing technique that uses water soluble dyes and therefore there is a shade of color. The shade of the color and texture of the cordovan are still retained, and the color is transparent, so that the pores (pinholes) are virtually invisible and the dyeing technique is excellent.
